Rebecca’s Equestrian Success at the Wales and West Show!

Term 1, Week 4

We are always delighted to celebrate the achievements of our students, both inside and outside of school, and this week, we’re shining a spotlight on Rebecca, Year 9, for her outstanding performance at the recent Wales and West Show!

Rebecca took on the challenging Derby class, a demanding course featuring 21 jumps, including a steep hill, technical jumps at both the top and bottom, and even a bridge to cross. While she wasn’t placed in this class, her determination and skill were evident as she expertly guided her pony, Romeo, through the difficult course, building his confidence with each obstacle. It was a fantastic experience, and she’s already looking forward to tackling the challenge again next time.

Rebecca’s success didn’t stop there! She also competed in the British Novice 80cm pony class and secured first place—an incredible achievement! This win marks an exciting milestone, as Romeo has now earned enough points to move up to a JC grade pony—a remarkable progression for both horse and rider.

With many more competitions on the horizon this winter, we can’t wait to follow Rebecca and Romeo’s journey and continue cheering them on. Well done, Rebecca—Kingshill is proud of you!
