Parents

Thank You!

Thank you from the Friends of Kingshill

Thank you to everyone who has supported our fundraising over the past year. We have raised nearly £2,000 so far this year from a number of events such as the Easter raffle, Christmas and Easter concerts, drama nights and Second Hand Uniform sales.

The Friends are delighted to have just had the pleasure of giving back to various departments within the school by providing the following equipment from a faculty “wish list” and hope that your children will have the pleasure of making use of one or more of them whilst at the school. In all, £3,526.27 was paid to the school to fund all of these items:

DT - Janome sewing machine, Oven Gloves

Geography - Customised OS maps of area around Cirencester (Set of 16 for a class)

PE - Portable PA system

Science - Organic chemistry multi-joint set, Pi-pump pipette filler, Pipette stand

Maths - GCSE Revision Packs: guides, workbooks, wallets, photocopying

E
nglish - Revision guides that could be re-used by future pupils

Music - Re-regulating of the upright piano

Year 11 - Contribution to the Leavers Book

Second Hand Uniform

We continue to raise funds for the Friends of Kingshill School by selling second hand uniform. If you have a Year 11 pupil who has just finished their exams, then please can you consider donating any old uniform – in particular PE kit which is not changing with the new uniform design. If you could, then please either drop it off to school reception or to Second Chance located in Cricklade Street, Cirencester now or during the school holidays.

Get Involved!

We are currently looking to recruit a new Chair and Treasurer on to the committee. If you are interested, please contact us to find out more about these roles. There are also many ways you can become involved, you can come along to the meetings, held once a term, where we discuss and organise volunteers to help at future fundraising events that term. We need a minimum of 6 at each meeting, so please do try to come along to continue the Committee’s good work. Alternatively, if you would like to receive a copy of the meeting’s minutes each term, please let us know and we will add you to the distribution list. No matter how much time you can offer to help, we are always pleased to receive additional help! We will keep you up to date about forthcoming events taking place in the new term in September 2017.

Remember you are already automatically a member of the Friends of Kingshill. Get involved, make a difference and have fun!

If you have any ideas for fundraising or can assist with any upcoming events, feel free to contact us via our e-mail fks@cirencesterkingshill.gloucs.sch.uk
