Cirencester Kingshill School Advanced Singers joined the Wessex Male Choir and Swindon Male Voice Choir in concert on Saturday 25th March 2017 at M.E.C.A. Swindon. It was a great opportunity to see two of the best amateur choirs perform (and in the case of Wessex Male Choir a choir that is nationally renowned having won international competitions) and for the pupils to perform on stage in front of a different audience. Mr Jon Driver, Head of Music at Cirencester Kingshill School and principal accompanist for the Wessex Male Choir, was delighted by how well the concert went. He said “I was extremely proud at how Kingshill School Advanced Singers performed. They were exceptionally well received by a new audience and the complements we received are testament to what a talented group of young people we have at Kingshill School”. The evening was packed with an eclectic mix of styles and genres ranging from spirituals and Welsh hymns all the way to musical theatre and popular music.
